The Dark Knight trailer is up!
By Gray Thomas-Sowers
Anyone who saw I Am Legend this weekend got a treat of a trailer for next summer’s Batman sequel, The Dark Knight. Except for those of us who saw it in IMAX, and got a (literal) eyeful of the Joker’s amazing introductory scene.
Now, the rest of the world gets to see it, too!
I like Heath Ledger, but I’ve never been sold on him as The Joker. This trailer completely changed that - it looks like he’s gonna really pull it off. See for yourself.

I’ve been hunting this down all weekend, and now I am confused and intrigued. The Joker hardly smiles in the trailer! Fascinating.

I’d recommend to anybody in the Boston area to go see I Am Legend at the Comcast IMAX in Reading so this trailer can rock your world. Literally, too — I’ve never felt the theater shake so much.

Small clarification - this trailer is not showing on IMAX. The first six minutes of the actual film are. The trailer is showing in from of regular prints of I Am Legend, however.
It does, however, kick all sorts of unholy ass. The scene they showed in IMAX was fun, but this trailer sold me completely. And I wasn’t crazy about Batman Begins…more on this tomorrow.

Err, yes. First six minutes. Not trailer. My bad.

Actually, I’ve been hearing reports that the 6 min. showing in front of IMAX are a prologue, rather than the opening to the film. As in, the part shown in IMAX theaters may not be in the final print.
